SYDNEY, February 15th, 2008 – OQO Inc., creator of the

addition of a 64GB solid state drive (SSD) option plus the
introduction of a new display technology offering dramatic

announced availability of the new model e2 with embedded
HSDPA mobile broadband capability, providing customers in

connectivity. The OQO model e2 with embedded HSDPA is

Audi and Tegatech Australia release Ultra Mobile Solution
Official launch of S5 Coupe assisted by Samsung Q1
Monday, March 07, 2007 -Australia’s only Tablet PC specific Distributor, Tegatech Australia, is excited to announce an Ultra Mobile PC (UMPC) success story in conjunction with Audi Australia. When approached by Audi to supply a UMPC based solution for capturing leads at the upcoming Melbourne Motorshow it was Tegatech’s channel of resellers that proved a real asset. Audi had struggled for years with handling leads generated at events such as the Motorshow. This year they were looking to develop a mobile application to automate and digitize the process. “We want to utilize our corporate website to directly capture leads at the show,” said Noel Ryan, CRM and Dealer Marketing Executive, Audi Australia. With that in mind it was up to Tegatech to turn to its pool of 200+ resellers to meet Audi’s needs.
The first stage was to recommend the right device. It had to have a proven extended battery life option, and support resistive touch technology to allow the input of data through the use of one’s fingers. Samsung Australia was quick to support the project, and offer the best solution for this particular need, via the Samsung Q1 UMPC. Audi was able to settle on this device but were yet to complete the entire solution. It wasn’t until Tegatech turned to its reseller channel and developed the Audi branded Software Keyboard.
The keyboard is built using a combination of the latest Microsoft technologies and agile development practices. Dr. Neil, a Microsoft Regional Director for Australia, in collaboration with Tricky Business a boutique interaction design studio in the UK worked with Tegatech Australia to deliver a custom made keyboard solution that took advantage of both UMPC hardware and Audi Australia’s existing website. Richard ‘Tricky’ Bassett, CEO of Tricky Business took a hands-on approach personally overseeing the design of the keyboard using the Microsoft Expression Blend toolkit. Microsoft Expression Blend produces XAML, a markup language used by the new Windows Presentation Foundation found in Microsoft .NET 3.0. Dr. Neil was then able to take the keyboard designed in XAML and place it into a functioning application that was developed in parallel. The core of the application sits on the Windows Shell (the desktop) and uses the Win32 APIs, the frame that hosts the keyboard is written using Microsoft’s .NET 2.0 Framework and the keyboard user interface is developed using Microsoft’s .NET 3.0 Windows Presentation Foundation.
Audi was so pleased with the solution that they allocated the use of the freshly completed solution to the Official Launch of the new Audi S5 Coupe, codenamed Elvis. The Melbourne launch is the World Premier for the car and occurs simultaneously with the Geneva Motorshow in Ginf, Switzerland, albeit with 30 minutes delay, on the 6th of March.
The project has gone so well that Audi is considering use of this technology across its entire dealer base.

OQO of Silicon Valley selects Ultra Mobile PC Partner
Distributor Tegatech Australia gets Official Approval for OQO Distribution
Monday, March 05, 2007– Tegatech Australia, a leader in the Ultra Mobile PC space, has today been given Official approval to distribute the OQO 02 Ultra-Mobile PC (UMPC) to its channel of Authorised Resellers. In a move seen as strategic for OQO the new partnership is designed to leverage off of Tegatech Australia’s 200+ reseller channel.
“Our commitment to Distributing Tablet PC specific hardware in Australia and NZ has brought us to this point,” said a Tegatech representative. “We’re excited about the role and are placing as many resources available to ensure its success. The fact that the role has been given to us is a huge plus.”
Meanwhile OQO is reported to be pleased with the decision as UMPC sales made by Tegatech resellers are starting to see significant numbers. Given the penetration that Tegatech Australia has in Australia and New Zealand, OQO is looking to leverage off of that and establish a solid presence for the 02 device. The 02 was awarded “Best of CES” (Consumer Electronics Show) 2007 in Las Vegas will also assist.
The OQO is the world’s smallest Vista capable computer and includes key features such as 1.5GHz processor, 60 GB hard drive, 1GB of RAM and a slide down keyboard. With RRP prices starting at $2,499 the OQO 02 will satisfy resellers with its margin; authorized resellers can log in and get access to pricing immediately.

When approached by Audi to supply a UMPC based solution for capturing leads at the upcoming Melbourne Motorshow it was Tegatech’s channel of resellers that proved a real asset. Audi had struggled for years with handling leads generated at events such as the Motorshow. This year they were looking to develop a mobile application to automate and digitize the process. “We want to utilize our corporate website to directly capture leads at the show,” said Noel Ryan, CRM and Dealer Marketing Executive, Audi Australia. With that in mind it was up to Tegatech to turn to its pool of 200+ resellers to meet Audi’s needs.
The first stage was to recommend the right device. It had to have a proven extended battery life option, and support resistive touch technology to allow the input of data through the use of one’s fingers. Samsung Australia was quick to support the project, and offer the best solution for this particular need, via the Samsung Q1 UMPC. Audi was able to settle on this device but were yet to complete the entire solution. It wasn’t until Tegatech turned to its reseller channel and developed the Audi branded Software Keyboard.
The keyboard is built using a combination of the latest Microsoft technologies and agile development practices. Dr. Neil, a Microsoft Regional Director for Australia, in collaboration with Tricky Business a boutique interaction design studio in the UK worked with Tegatech Australia to deliver a custom made keyboard solution that took advantage of both UMPC hardware and Audi Australia’s existing website. Richard ‘Tricky’ Bassett, CEO of Tricky Business took a hands-on approach personally overseeing the design of the keyboard using the Microsoft Expression Blend toolkit. Microsoft Expression Blend produces XAML, a markup language used by the new Windows Presentation Foundation found in Microsoft .NET 3.0. (the desktop) and uses the Win32 APIs, the frame that hosts the keyboard is written using Microsoft’s .NET 2.0 Framework and the keyboard user interface is developed using Microsoft’s .NET 3.0 Windows Presentation Foundation.
Audi was so pleased with the solution that they allocated the use of the freshly completed solution to the Official Launch of the new Audi S5 Coupe, codenamed Elvis. The Melbourne launch is the World Premier for the car and occurs simultaneously with the Geneva Motorshow in Ginf, Switzerland, albeit with 30 minutes delay, on the 6th of March.
The project has gone so well that Audi is considering use of this technology across its entire dealer base.

Due to a massive increase in business Australia's only Tablet PC Wholesaler, Tegatech Australia, is looking for a Web Developer. The ideal candidate will display a keen interest in Information Technology and ideally has had exposure to Tablet PC. A thorough understanding of HTML, FLASH and Java will be seen as a key ingredient while a working knowledge of PHP will be considered appealing.
The candidate will need to work from our Northern Beaches Office in Sydney and will have access to both PC and an Apple MAC G5. Software will be provided although candidates with own notebook and software will be favoured. The position will be part-time and is estimated at 2 - 3 days per week. Renumeration will be based on experience.

Vantex Technology Distribution now official partner of Tegatech Australia
Australasia’s only Tablet PC specific Distributor, Tegatech Australia, today officially announced the availability of its Tablet PC, and Ultra-Mobile PC range in NZ. Via a newly formed partnership with Vantex Technology Distribution Limited, Tegatech has solidified its position in the Australasian marketplace as the leader in this space. Awarded the role of Exclusive Distributor in NZ Vantex has today reportedly commenced the marketing campaign.
Tegatech Australia had been looking for a worthy partner in New Zealand for over 5 months. When talks opened up between Vantex and Tegatech the synergies were quickly realized and the partnership solidified via a mutually beneficial agreement. Vantex today released an email to its database of over 1,200 resellers regarding the collaboration and the response was instant. Eric Ryda of Vantex expressed caution regarding the initial move but today confirmed much pleasure around the positive response he received regarding the launch. “The response was instant and has kept our sales staff busy all afternoon!” said Ryda.
Details of the agreement were not released to the public but Tegatech Australia’s Principal, Hugo Ortega, did confirm that Vantex would be the Sole Distribution Partner and that Rights to the Tegatech range would be exclusive to Vantex. Because Tegatech Australia already held exclusive Rights to various devices in its range, including Tablet Kiosk products and Raon Digital, this new agreement meant that the New Zealand arm of Vantex, via the Tegatech agreement, today became the sole Distributor for these products too. “From now on all enquiries regarding the range of Tegatech Australia devices from the NZ region would all be redirected to Vantex, our new Partner.” said Ortega.

ASUS selects Ultra Mobile PC Partner

Tegatech Australia, a leader in the Ultra Mobile PC space, has today been given Official approval to distribute the ASUS R2H Ultra Mobile PC, and the ASUS R1F Convertible Tablet, to its channel of Authorised Resellers. In a move seen as strategic for ASUS the new partnership is designed to leverage off of Tegatech Australia’s key focus in the region – the Tablet PC.
